When Curry studies in the high school, Curry was a four-sport athlete, lettering three times in basketball, three times in track, two times in tennis and once in cross country. When Curry fished her high school in Palmade, she spent the first three college season. The University which Curry studied in was California State University Northridge. In the earlier coaching period, Curry said that Dan Muscatell who was the former UO assistant has been an important influence as well. Muscatell made her cross the gender lines—coaching the girls and boys at the same time. She treated the male and female basketball player in the same way. In her eyes, there was no difference between training male and female athletes.
In 2002, Curry was drafted by the WNBA’s Charlotte Sting. She was a professional basketball player and played professional basketball for the eight years in Europe, Middle East for the WNBA’s Phoenie Mercury and Los Angeles Sparks. Although she only played just one season for the Oregon women’s basketball team, Curry got really successful honour in that time.
