Tommy Cunningham is a former English rugby league footballer who played in the 1970s and 1980s. He played for St. Helens, Warrington, and Widnes. He was a Great Britain international and won the Challenge Cup with Warrington in 1974. Cunningham was born on 7 August 1956 in St Helens, Lancashire. He began his career with St. Helens in 1974, making his debut against Hull Kingston Rovers. He went on to make over 200 appearances for the club, scoring over 100 tries. In 1979, Cunningham joined Warrington, where he won the Challenge Cup in 1974. He also represented Great Britain in the 1975 World Cup. In 1982, Cunningham joined Widnes, where he made over 100 appearances. He retired from playing in 1988. Cunningham is now a coach and has worked with a number of clubs, including St. Helens, Warrington, and Widnes. He is currently the head coach of the Widnes Vikings.
