Stephen Bekassy was a Hungarian-born American actor who had a long career in film and television. He was born Istvan Bekassy on February 10, 1907 in Nyíregyháza, Hungary. He began his career in the 1930s, appearing in a number of Hungarian films. He moved to the United States in the 1940s and began appearing in American films, including The Big Clock (1948), The Great Sinner (1949), and The Big Heat (1953). He also appeared in a number of television series, including The Twilight Zone, The Untouchables, and The Man from U.N.C.L.E. He died on April 28, 1993 in Los Angeles, California.
