He graduated from the University of Punjab in 1985 with a degree in Political Science. Lucman began his career as a journalist in 1985, working for the Daily Jang newspaper. He then moved to television, working as a news anchor and reporter for various news channels. In 2008, he launched his own talk show, Khara Sach, on ARY News.
