During this time, he also worked as a session musician, playing on albums by John Lennon, George Harrison, and Eric Clapton. In the late 1970s, Kellie joined the band Badfinger, and remained with them until their breakup in 1983. He then went on to work as a session musician for a variety of artists, including Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, and Elton John. Kellie has also appeared in a number of films and television shows, including The Beatles Anthology, The Rutles, and The Rutles 2: Can't Buy Me Lunch.
