Lewis Arquette was an American actor, comedian, and producer. He was born on December 14, 1935 in Chicago, Illinois. He was the son of actor Cliff Arquette and his wife, Mabel. He was the father of actors Rosanna, Richmond, Patricia, Alexis, and David Arquette. Arquette began his career in the 1960s, appearing in television shows such as The Beverly Hillbillies, The Andy Griffith Show, and The Dick Van Dyke Show. He also appeared in films such as The Big Bus, The Great Waldo Pepper, and The Sting. In the 1980s, Arquette began to focus more on producing, working on films such as The Last American Virgin, The Wild Life, and The Big Easy. He also appeared in the television series The Waltons and The Twilight Zone. In the 1990s, Arquette continued to act and produce, appearing in films such as The Opposite Sex and How to Make an American Quilt. He also appeared in the television series Friends and Seinfeld. Arquette died on February 8, 2001, at the age of 65. At the time of his death, he had an estimated net worth of $2 million.
