Klaus Teuber is a German game designer and the creator of the popular board game The Settlers of Catan. He was born on 25 June 1952 in Germany. Teuber studied economics and worked as a teacher before becoming a full-time game designer in 1995. He has designed over 30 board games, including the popular Settlers of Catan, which has sold over 25 million copies worldwide. Teuber has won numerous awards for his game designs, including the Spiel des Jahres (Game of the Year) award in 1995 for The Settlers of Catan. He has also been inducted into the Academy of Adventure Gaming Arts and Design Hall of Fame. Teuber is married and has three children. He currently lives in Germany.
