Hoby Brenner is a former American football tight end who played in the National Football League (NFL) for the New Orleans Saints and the San Diego Chargers. He was born on June 2, 1959 in Lynwood, California. Brenner attended the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) where he was a three-year letterman and an All-Pac-10 selection in 1981. He was drafted by the New Orleans Saints in the second round of the 1982 NFL Draft. Brenner played for the Saints from 1982 to 1988 and for the San Diego Chargers from 1989 to 1992. He was selected to the Pro Bowl in 1986 and was a member of the Saints' first playoff team in 1987. He finished his career with 431 receptions for 5,092 yards and 28 touchdowns. Brenner was inducted into the Saints Hall of Fame in 2000. He currently resides in San Diego, California.
