David LaFlamme is an American violinist, singer, and songwriter. He is best known as the lead violinist and vocalist for the rock band It's a Beautiful Day. He was born on May 4, 1941 in New Britain, Connecticut. LaFlamme began playing the violin at the age of five and was classically trained. He attended the Hartt School of Music in Hartford, Connecticut, and later studied at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. In 1967, LaFlamme formed the rock band It's a Beautiful Day with his then-wife, Linda LaFlamme. The band released their self-titled debut album in 1969, which featured the hit single "White Bird". The band released several more albums throughout the 1970s, and LaFlamme continued to tour and record with the band until the early 1980s. In addition to his work with It's a Beautiful Day, LaFlamme has also released several solo albums, including "The Violin Player" (1975) and "The Best of David LaFlamme" (1977). He has also composed music for films, including "The Last American Hero" (1973) and "The Rose" (1979). As of 2021, David LaFlamme's net worth is estimated to be roughly $2 million.
