He began his career in the youth system of Maccabi Haifa, and made his professional debut in the Israeli Premier League in 1998. He went on to play for several other clubs in Israel, including Maccabi Tel Aviv, Hapoel Tel Aviv, and Maccabi Netanya. Goresh was a member of the Israeli national team from 2000 to 2004, making 11 appearances and scoring one goal. He retired from professional football in 2011. Goresh is married and has two children.
