He recorded a choral Christmas album in 2007, titled 'Chris Squire's Swiss Choir'.
He moved back to England temporarily in 2005, and lived in a flat in Chelsea, London with third wife, Scotland. Then moved back to the States in September 2008.
His first wife, singer Nikki, formed her own band, Esquire, in the 1980s. Chris helped them with their self-title debut album, which was recorded at their home (New Pipers, Surrey). She also sang on Chris' 1975 solo album, 'Fish Out of Water' (also recorded at New Pipers).
Success for the band did not occur until 1971 and the release of 'Fragile' and 'Close to the Edge'. Both featured Chris' innovative, complex bass riffs and tenor vocals. Squire has continued on in Yes full term, being the only member to appear on every Yes album.
He had two daughters from his first marriage to Nikki (Chandrika Squire and Camille, born in the 1970s), a step daughter (Carmen Squire) from Nikki's previous marriage, a son with Melissa (Cameron, born in early 2000) and a daughter with Scotland (Xilan, born in December 2008).
In 1968, he bumped into aspiring tenor vocalist Jon Anderson in a London bar, "La Chasse". They soon found that they shared similar ideas of how music should sound. After getting a few other musicians to join, art rock band Yes was formed.
Born in London on March 4, 1948, Chris Squire engaged in a highly musical childhood, including singing in St. Paul's distinguished youth choir.
