She attended the University of Bristol, where she studied English Literature and Drama. After graduating, she worked as a journalist for the BBC, writing for the BBC News website and presenting for BBC Radio 5 Live. Healey has presented a number of television shows, including the BBC Three series How to Get a Life, and the BBC One series Inside Out. She has also presented the BBC Three series Cherry Healey: How to Get a Life, and the BBC One series Inside Out.
