Blind Mississippi Morris is an American blues musician and singer-songwriter. He is best known for his work with the legendary bluesman, Muddy Waters. He has released several albums, including his debut album, "Blind Mississippi Morris and the Delta Blues Band" (1978). Born in Clarksdale, Mississippi, Morris was born blind due to a birth defect. He began playing the harmonica at the age of five and was soon playing with local blues musicians. He was discovered by Muddy Waters in the early 1970s and began touring with him. Morris has released several albums, including his debut album, "Blind Mississippi Morris and the Delta Blues Band" (1978). He has also released several live albums, including "Live at the New Daisy Theater" (1982) and "Live at the Delta Blues Festival" (1985). Morris has been nominated for several awards, including a Grammy Award for Best Traditional Blues Album for his album "Live at the Delta Blues Festival" (1985).
