He attended Clemson University, where he met his future bandmates, brothers Bo and Seth Rinehart. The three formed Needtobreathe in 2001 and released their debut album, Daylight, in 2006. The band has since released seven studio albums, with their most recent, Out of Body, released in 2020. Rinehart has also released two solo albums, Wilder Woods in 2019 and Wilder Woods II in 2020.
