Adam LaVorgna is an American actor best known for his roles in the television series 7th Heaven and the films I'll Be Home for Christmas and The Beautician and the Beast. He was born on March 1, 1981 in New Haven, Connecticut. LaVorgna began his acting career at the age of seven, appearing in commercials and television shows. He made his feature film debut in the 1996 comedy I'll Be Home for Christmas, starring Jonathan Taylor Thomas. He went on to appear in the films The Beautician and the Beast and The Perfect Score. In 1996, LaVorgna was cast as Robbie Palmer in the television series 7th Heaven. He appeared in the show for four seasons, until 2000. He also had a recurring role in the series Boston Public. In addition to his acting career, LaVorgna has also appeared in music videos for the bands Matchbox Twenty and The Goo Goo Dolls. As of 2021, Adam LaVorgna's net worth is estimated to be $2 million.

Lavorgna said he was raised in Catholicism by his grandmother but became distant from the faith with age: "I got away from church at 15–16, and by my mid-20s, I was lost." Of returning to the faith, LaVorgna said, "Once I matured enough to face God, to look at Him, for Him to be proud, once I started doing that, my life turned around. It was slow, but on a steady incline."
He received his bachelor's degree in 2011 from Fairfield University in Fairfield, Connecticut.
Other television work included the role of a young Frank Sinatra at the age of ten in the miniseries Sinatra, a role as a witness to a bank robbery in a 1995 episode of Matlock ("The Getaway") and appearances in the miniseries Degree of Guilt and Blood Brothers: The Joey DiPaolo Story, along with an episode of the HBO series Lifestories: Families in Crisis.
Lavorgna starred as Nicholas Scamperelli in the series Brooklyn Bridge, for which he received the 1993 Youth in Film Award for Best Actor. He then joined 7th Heaven as a series regular portraying Robbie Palmer, Mary's (Jessica Biel) troubled ex-boyfriend who has moved into the family home. He left the show in 2002. LaVorgna recalled his choice to leave was due to having a hard time managing his way around Hollywood, California, in addition to missing his family, mutually agreeing with the staff of 7th Heaven for a dismissal. He returned to the East Coast of the US subsequently.
